Butterfly Blue

Just a quickie. My entry to the Arty Girlz Challenge (Wings). Clean and simple with a touch of bling. The stamps used are Wendy Rhodes unmounted Metamorphosis Collection, Happy Birthday sentiment from See-D's Celebration Messages and Dotted Swoosh from Printworks which is available from Stamp Addicts.

Aww... Get Well Soon

Another one of my favourite stamps. This little guy is again very versatile and can hold, or catch, almost anything. I am entering him in the Friday Sketchers challenge, sketch No. 3. The stamp is a Stampabilities House-Mouse stamp entitled 'I can Catch it' and the plaster was a bargain bucket stamp from katie & Co entitled 'Get Well Soon'.

How do you wrap a hug?

Another cute little guy, cute enough for the Cute Card Thursday challenge.

This week it's a sketch and I am actually posting early for once. The bear (Gift Wrap) and sentiment (Wrap a Hug) are from Penny Black.

In full bloom

Could not resist this week's papertake challenge, luscious lime and lilac, two of my favourite colour combinations. I have made this card many times before but never is these colours and I think it works really well. This is a great card for all occassions, Birthday, Thank You, Get Well, Mother's Day. The flowers were cut out by the Cricut, but the Paper Shaper 'Retro Flower' punch works just as well and is the prefect size. You can even make the leaves from the Retro Flower punch, which is what I have done here, by cutting each petal to a point at the centre of the flower. One flower will give you 5 leaves. The vase and flowers have been stuck onto a tall thin card approx. 6.5cm in width by 20cm in length.

I love any stamp that is versatile and this little character is perfect. He has such a cute face and because his arms are hanging, he can hold many things, today its a card. As I 3D'd his body and head I thought I would enter him in the Arty Girlz Challenge . He is a Whipper Snappper stamp and the card he is holding is from a Dovecraft clear set. The sentiments were done on my computer.

Flutterby, Butterfly

As the deadline for our latest Stamp Addicts project was the end of April, my card creations, which are for a new TV show on Create and Craft, have now been posted off to them and I am (back in the saddle again) and ready for some challenges.

I love the Cuttlebug embossing folders and so I thought I would have a go at the Papertake Weekely 'Elegant Embossing' Challenge. The butterflies are from The Stamp Man, Aspects of Design 29 'Flitters and Flutter's unmounted range.

I have just received a new assignment from Stamp Addicts so I won't be posting for a while, got some nice new stamps to play with, but I did want to quickly post for my entry for the 'making waves' Papertake Weekly Challenge. I love this card, it suits young and old. The pink stripe paper was made on my computer. The scallops were cut with a corner punch.

Call me, Irresistable

This one is for all you chocolate lovers out there and my contribution to the Arty Girlz challenge this week. I originally made this card a year or so ago for my friend Gina, who happens to be a chocoholic, it's been very popular and has had many 'up grades' along the way. This is the current version. The chocolate is made from Fimo Clay, look real doesn't it? The main chocolate message was done on my computer and the Happy Birthday circle is from a 'Clearly Defined' set by Printworks, entitled 'Small Tag Lines', available from Stamp Addicts (see links). I love this stamp, it fits nicely into a circle punch and can be placed anywhere on the card, without looking out of place.

Ooooooh, baby love, my baby love

I love a circle punch, I have many, all sizes and it's amazing what you can create with them. One of the easiest is the baby pram. For this card I used a 6.5cm circle cut in half for the main body of the pram and a 2.5cm and 3cm (approx) for the wheels.


No circle punches were used on this baby boy card but I can give you instructions for the knitted jumper. Using 2.75 metric needles and four ply wool, cast on 13 stitches and knit four row in rib. Then knit 6 rows in stocking stitch, I always tend to knit the first and the last stitch on each pearl row, it gives a better edge. Cast on four stitches, knit to end. Cast on another four stitches, pearl to end. Work approximately another four rows in stocking stitch and then finish off somewhere in the middle. Transfer stitches onto cocktail sticks.
