Ratted

I wouldn't normally do this but I am killing two birds with one stone today by combining two of my favourite challenges, Penny Black Saturday Challenge and Sketch Saturday. I was looking through my Penny Black stamps to see what I could use with the 'stars and stripes' theme and came across this little fella, bought him at the Stevenage show. Although he is entitled 'dressed up', he looks a bit rat-a***d to me, I just love his expression, so this is his debut.

Just to let you know, I have just received another assignment from Stamp Addicts for yet another TV show, scheduled for October so I've got the month of September to get my artwork done. Their latest TV show, The Spirit of Christmas, will be on air 6th September, so make a date with Create and Craft.

Congratulations to all the new Sketch Saturday Design Team.
Happy Crafting.

Sketch Saturday #13

Hi there, had a busy week and I am a bit late for the Sketch Saturday I know, but I just had to do it, I am addicted to this challenge. I am currently in the process of making a batch of different anniversary cards and after seeing Kath's wonderful creations on her Blog and the downloads she used from Funky Hand I knew exactly what I was going to do. I am so pleased with the result as green is my colour, the only thing is it's very overcast outside right now and the card did not photograph too well so my friend Glenda has given it a new lease of life in Paint Shop Pro. Wonderful Stuff! The heart stamp is an unmounted cheapy, can't say who by as I have thrown away the packaging, sorry, but isn't it wonderful. Good Luck to all those who are entering for the Design Team.

Cute Card Thursday

Hi there, back for another challenge, this time it's the Cute Card Thursday Challenge. Bright Colours is the theme so here's my entry. The cupcake is a Whipper Snapper Design and the papers are by Anna Griffin, Yes! Anna Griffin. I been having a sort out in my craft room and keep coming across stuff that I never knew I had. You know what it's like. I'm off now to pick up my cousin Tracey's daughter, Eloise. She is staying with me for 3 days of non-stop crafting. She comes every year during the school holidays with a list of cards she need to make for family and friends throughout the year. Should be fun!

Catch a falling star

Hi there. Took a look at the Arty Girlz challenge this week and was stumped, then this morning it became clear. It's just a shape so I have chosen a star and I have used my own little star, 'I can catch it' from House Mouse Designs. You may remember him from a Get Well Soon card back in May, I had him holding a plaster. He's just adorable. The background paper is an Anna Griffin Design.

Penny Black Saturday Challenge

Two posts in one day. I did cheat a bit with this one as I made this card a couple of days ago, not knowing that the challenge this week was ribbons. Hope the small ribbon used is enough to qualify. The Penny Black stamp used is, of course, 'Embrace' and the sentiment stamp is from 'Circle of Friendship' by Stampin Up.

Saturday Sketch Challenge #12

I think I have become addicted to this challenge. The main image, which is made up of two stamps, parcel and legs, are 'Stamps by Judith' and are available from Stamp Addicts. I love the fact that you can put the recipients name on the tag. I hope I am right in saying that unfortunately they are not available to buy online, only at the shows. If you are planning on a visit to one of their shows in the near future, give them a call before hand and they will reserve the stamps for you. Incidentally, the legs, mentioned above come in either boy or girl. I have used the boy which I thought went better the the colour combo I used. The sentiment stamp is by Judikins.

No patterned paper

Thought I would try the Arty Girlz Challenge, no patterned paper. This card originally had a background of different coloured plain cardstock. I was doing some faux stitching and threw the flowers, die cuts and sentiment to one side. They landed on some white paper which gave them a cleaner look, which I liked. It's funny how cards evolve. The daisy is, again, one of Sugar and Spice's lovely stamps. So too is the sentiment. Check them out here.

Daisy, Daisy......

Another Sketch Saturday challenge, don't the weeks just fly by. Here's the sketch and my interpretation, I have used some wonderful stamps designed by Sugar and Spice. Saw them used on Jackie's blog and just had to have them. I love daisy and petal stamps and these are right up my street. I made a couple more cards using the same stamps which I thought you might like to see.

Looking forward to tomorrow as I am off to the Stevenage 'Stamperama' show with a group of avid crafters. I love that show because you get around it many times and not miss a thing, which is important!

Yum..... Cake!

Another post and another challenge. This time it's a new one for me, it's Sketch Saturday. I enjoy the sketches because it gives you a starting point. Anyway, the cupcake stamps are from Hero Arts and they are in their Clear Design range entitled 'cupcakes'. The birthday sentiment stamp is from 'Stampin-up'. It's in their circle of friendship set and available from Jackie, please visit her blog here.

Happy Crafting.

In the pink?..... I think not!

Hope everyone is having a good weekend, the weather is a bit cooler now, just how I like it. I am not a sun worshiper and its a waste of valuable crafting time (lol). Time for the Penny Black Saturday Challenge and this week it's 'no pink' which is perfect for me because pink is not my colour!

Enjoy the rest of the weekend.

Thanks for looking.
