More Halloween treats

Hi Crafters

I've got a couple more Halloween gift ideas to show you and a card. The bat bag (apologies for the glare on the photo) holds a large pack of the Giant chocolate buttons, (see side view) and the Yankee Candle tart burner is a nice idea to give someone to burn on Halloween night. The fragrance is 'Autumn Pumpkin', very apt.

The card is one I made the other day, it's a bit late to send now so I shall save it until next year.

Hi there crafters,

Its been a long time since I have posted. I have not been 100% of late but, fingers crossed, I am now on the road to recovery.

I have a few Halloween items to show you.

The bats and ghosts are on acetate and so they have cast a shadow on the card but you can still get the idea.

Now, with time on my hands I have been messing around with these for the kids. I shall fill them with Halloween sweets nearer the time.

Last of the January class cards

Hi Crafters,

Just thought I would show you the last of the cards that we made in our January classes. The pink and black card is using the Papermania Poppy stamp with Imagine That's leaf stamp in the background and the daisy card is made using 'Carol's cube' by Judi-kins, available from Stamp Addicts. I love daisies and out of all the daisy stamps that I have, and I have plenty, I always come back to this one. It's one of my first stamp purchases.

January card classes

Hi crafters,

Just thought I would show you some of the cards we have been making in our January 2011 card classes. In one class that I do, we are all members of the Clarity stamp club and so I try to incorporate Barbara's monthly stamp into at least one of the cards. Here, I have used the leafy rod stamp for the stems and also the subtle background paper. The flower heads are from Imagine that.

The second card is a Lily of the Vally image. If you are familiar with this image you will know that there is no back to the car and so I have placed it through a circle to solve the problem.

Penny Black Guest Designer - Final Week

Well it's my final week as Guest Designer for the Penny Black Challenge and I would just like to say a very big thank you to all of you who checked out my blog and left lovely comments. It has been a pleasure designing for them and I considered myself very lucky as I had four great themes to work with. Talking of themes, this week's is a recipe, three flowers, two buttons and a bow. I did not want to over-embellish my card so I used a PB stamp with three flowers to get me started, hope you like the end result.

Stamp Addicts Christmas Show

Hi folks,

Just thought I would give you a sneaky peak at what's coming up tomorrow on Create & Craft at 11.00 am. It's Stamp Addicts live Christmas Show and they are showcasing some wonderful stamps.

My favourite is the four sided bollio stamp. You get four different stamps in one and the above two sample cards show the partridge and the lights and baubles section. There is also a holly section and a pine cone section and the two cards below are made with the pine cones.

The last card I like to show you is made from another two stamps in the show. The Crayon Santa and the Naughty or Nice sentiment, so cute!

Been busy with a Stamp Addicts assignment for their forthcoming live show on the 18th June, so make a date. I've also had fifty 30th Birthday invitations to do and I have now finished those so I am, officially, now back in the land of the living.

Love the sketch from Sketch and Stash this week and decided to use it for a man's card, this card was inspired by a card I saw on Laurie Schmidlin's blog.

The papers are from the wonderful Claire Curds Signature Range bumper paper pack and the ties are from an oldie (but goodie) Woodware clear set by Francoise Read called 'His Birthday'.

Another two cards for the show. The girl is from the 'Well Done' set of stamps but I have used elements from the 'Princess' set too, these stamp sets are perfect to mix and match. The 'Well Done' set, 6 in total, consists of the girl, sentiment, backpack/satchel, books, cat and tumbler.

Sneaky Peak

Just a sneaky peak at what I have been doing over the past week. Stamp Addicts are doing a live show, on Ideal world, on Monday 6th April at 11.00 with some wonderful unmounted stamps by Judikins. Check out the Purple Zone for more sneaky peaks from the design team.

Here are a couple of my examples from the 'Wish You Were Here' set. Although she is in a bathing costume she has so much potential. In the set (7 stamps in all) she comes with a bucket and spade, a starfish, sunglasses, sentiment and a really great beach bag that can be used on lots of girly cards.

Penny Black Romance

Last Sunday I went to the Stevenage Stamparama, dropped off my assignment to Stamp Addicts, and bought quite a few Penny Black stamps, all of them a bargain with many different themes, so there is no reason for me not to do the Saturday Challenge. Here is my entry this week which is, of course, Romance. Incidentally, the new Stamp Addicts show, which is due to air on Create and Craft on Saturday, 21st February, is featuring 'Stamps by Judith'. It'll be worth a watch.

It's of my dog, Holly. 'Chops' is here nickname. In this photo she was taking a nap on one of her favourite toys, her squeaky duck. She looked so cute I just had to have a picture and as I took it, she opened her eyes. 'Please do not disturb' is the look she gave me, so I didn't and apologised to her (like you do!)... lol.

I also thought I would share with you a card I made recently. I was asked by my friend Stacy to make a card for friends of hers who have just had identical baby boys. The romper suit and cap stamp is one I purchased many years ago when Pulling on the Glitz was at their old premises. It's by Stampendous and is one of my favourites to use for baby cards.

Cute card Thursday

Hi there, I would just like to say a big thank-you to everyone who visited my blog last year and to wish a Happy, Healthy and Creative New Year to all.

Well I am busy at the moment with an assignment from Stamp Addicts so look out for a new show on Create and Craft in late February. In the meantime, I have managed to fit in a challenge, and Cute Card Thursday had the perfect theme, 'use something you got or bought around Christmas. Well, between Christmas and New Year, I took myself off to The Glitter Pot, near Haywards Heath, West Sussex, and bought this stamp by Sugarnellie, which was in the sale, perfect. If it is possible for anyone to visit The Glitter Pot, it really is well worth a trip.

I must also say a big thank you to Sue who has given me this award, I am honoured. Check out Sue's blog she has made some wonderful cards. Now the rules in accepting this award is for me to pass it onto 5 others, with links to their blogs as well as Sue's, and letting them know. The other rule is that I must write down 5 things that I am addicted to, at that's easy, so:

In this busy run up to Christmas I had to find time to do this week's Sketch Saturday challenge and I have combined it with the Penny Black Challenge. This card was inspired by some Costco wrapping paper that I bought a year or so ago. The Penny Black challenge this week is a recipe, 3-2-1 and that's three flowers (I have used snowflakes instead) two papers and one ribbon. I know last week I said I wanted to steer clear of Christmas cards but this design came into my head as soon as I saw the sketch and it can be the start of my 2009 Christmas card stash as I have already made and sent this years out.

I am going to cheat a little today and double up on challenges. Yesterday I started a card for the Friday Sketchers and today I have finished it off with a Penny Black stamp so here is my effort. The Penny Black Challenge calls for 'Funky Christmas', using non-traditional colours, not sure the card is funky but the colours are non-traditional.

I thought I would get one last Autumn leaves card in before Christmas.

Penny Black - Monochromatic

Great challenge from Penny Black this week, monochromatic and what better colours to use than good old Black and White. It's also given me an opportunity to use my only non-cute Penny Black stamp 'flying stars'.
